Build a Lemoore People Search
The best first record depends on what is already known. A street address fits the Kings County Assessor search. A civil dispute, probate matter, or criminal case belongs in the Kings Superior Court system. A business name can lead to state entity filings, county fictitious business names, and professional licenses. Older family ties call for probate files, obituaries, deeds, census schedules, and regional library collections.
Lemoore has no separate municipal court, and it is not the Kings County seat. Many official people-search records are kept in Hanford. That split matters because City Hall holds city records, while county offices hold deeds, assessments, elections, jail records, and most vital certificates. Start narrowly, record each name variant or number found, and move to the next custodian only when the first source yields a useful fact.
- Choose the strongest known fact. Use an address, case number, business name, event date, or full name rather than a broad guess.
- Open the matching official index. Search the assessor for an address, the court for a case, or a state registry for a business or license.
- Save the stable identifiers. An APN, case number, document number, or entity number makes the next request more precise.
- Use the offline route when needed. Call, visit, mail, email, or file a records request when the public web does not expose the index.
- Confirm the underlying record. An index points to a file; a certified copy or custodian response carries more weight.
- APN
- The assessor's parcel number, also called a fee parcel, is the stable key for a parcel.
- Index
- A finding aid that points to a document but is not the document itself.
- Docket
- The dated list of filings and events in a court case.
- Grantor and grantee
- The person transferring an interest and the person receiving it in a recorded document.
Lemoore Records Begin in Hanford
Kings County centralizes several records offices at the Government Center in Hanford. The combined Assessor/Clerk/Recorder keeps assessed property data, nonjudicial public records, recorded property documents, fictitious business names, notary filings, marriage services, and county vital certificates. The court occupies a separate Hanford courthouse. Lemoore City Clerk remains the right custodian for council, commission, departmental, and other city records.
The detailed access rules, copy fees, and request routes belong with Lemoore public records. For a people search, the key is knowing which counter owns the record before making the trip.

Lemoore, CA 93245

The City Clerk contact page shows the direct local route for Lemoore records.
That office is the city-level starting point, not a substitute for the county recorder or court.
Lemoore Deed Search Went Offline
Kings County does not provide public-internet access to real-estate records or their related indexes. The Recorder links the change to AB 1785 of 2024 and Government Code sections 6254.21 and 7928.205. Those provisions protect the home addresses and APNs of elected or appointed officials from online posting without permission. Because the office cannot identify every appointed official named in recorded documents, it withdrew the whole real-estate index from public web access.
This is the defining Lemoore records quirk. Deeds and liens remain important, but the fallback chain is now central: call the Recorder, ask about office or county-network access, request a copy, or use the appropriate public-records process. The Tyler site still supports online indexes for fictitious business names, CEQA filings, notaries, and professional registrations. It does not restore open web access to deed searching.
The Kings County Tyler access page begins with a human check and an index disclaimer.
The county likens an index to a library card catalog and advises trying all likely name spellings.
Online-record myth: a Lemoore deed search cannot be completed through a public internet grantor-grantee index. Use the Recorder's phone, counter, county access, or request route.
Search Lemoore Addresses in Megabyte
An address can turn a vague Lemoore people search into a parcel trail. The Kings County Assessor's Megabyte Property Tax System shows current tax-year assessed values and property or parcel-map information. No public owner-name search was visible during research, so the tool works best from a street address or known parcel number. Vacant land may lack a street address, making the APN more useful.
The portal offers unusually specific advice: omit suffixes such as Street, Road, Drive, and Lane, and shorten directions to N, E, S, or W. That can recover an address entered with a different form on the county roll.
| Megabyte field | How to use it | Important limit |
|---|---|---|
| Fee Parcel | Enter at least two and no more than twenty characters | Use the number shown on the tax bill |
| Assessment | Open a specific assessment number | May not show every outstanding assessment |
| Street Address | Drop street suffixes and use one-letter directions | No owner-name field was verified |
| Boat CF# | Search a vessel identifier | Applies to assessed boat property |
| Aircraft Tail# | Search an aircraft identifier | Applies to assessed aircraft |
Open the Kings County Megabyte property search to test an address or parcel.
Carry the APN from the assessor into GIS, map requests, or the offline recorder path. GIS can clarify city limits, streets, school districts, and spheres of influence, but the county warns that its map is not a legal survey.
Note: A Lemoore mailing address can fall outside city limits, so confirm jurisdiction before choosing the city or county custodian.
Trace Lemoore Court Records
The Superior Court of California, County of Kings, handles Lemoore cases in Hanford. Its public portal covers available criminal, civil, traffic, and family-law case data. Registration is required, and public users are limited to 45 case searches per day. Selecting a case number opens its register of actions, the dated list of case events and filings. Recent filings may not yet appear, so compare the portal with court notices or the clerk's file.
The Kings Superior Court public portal is the online entry point.
An account gate and daily cap make the courthouse terminal a meaningful fallback, not an afterthought.
| Record route | What it covers | Access method |
|---|---|---|
| Kings public portal | Available criminal, civil, traffic, and family case data | Account required; 45 public searches daily |
| Courthouse terminal | Nonconfidential records by name or case number | On site; document photos prohibited by Local Rule 117(C) |
| Records Division | Public copies and archived records | Counter or mail; clerk research may cost $15 per name |
| Federal court | Eastern District of California cases | PACER, separate from county court |
Juvenile, sealed, adoption, protected victim, and some family matters are not available through ordinary public search. The court also says it does not perform criminal background checks. The electronic inquiry form accepts procedural questions, not copy requests.
Order Lemoore Vital Records
Kings County Clerk/Recorder issues birth, death, and marriage certificates for events in the county. Its Permitium portal accepts online orders. California Department of Public Health supplies a statewide route, including birth and death records dating from July 1905. No open local name index was found, so these systems are copy-order channels rather than general people directories.
California separates authorized and informational certified copies under Health and Safety Code section 103526. An authorized copy can establish identity and requires a qualifying relationship or legal status. Mail requests need a notarized sworn statement. An informational copy is marked as not valid to establish identity. Confidential marriage certificates come only from the county where issued and only to the two parties.
| Record | Kings County fee | CDPH 2026 fee |
|---|---|---|
| Birth | $34 | $31 |
| Death | $26 | $26 |
| Marriage | $19 | $19 |
| Dissolution certificate | Court file route | $18 |
Kings County's birth fee is slightly higher, but CDPH reports an average processing time of five to seven weeks. County ordering may be more direct for a county event. The price alone does not determine the better channel.
Request Lemoore City Records
The Lemoore City Clerk is custodian for city records. Requests may be sent by email to cityclerk@lemoore.com, mailed, or delivered in person. The city form asks for the requester's contact details, a clear description, department, relevant dates, and signature. Under the California Public Records Act, the city states that it will determine within ten calendar days whether responsive, disclosable records exist. Production can take longer, and copy charges may apply.
The Lemoore public-records request page gives the direct local submission route.
Email access is a practical shortcut when the target is a council, commission, finance, planning, or other city document.
Police files use a different Lemoore Police Department release form. Eligibility depends on the record and the requester's relationship to it. Traffic collision, crime, arrest, juvenile, and child-abuse records each follow distinct release limits. A calls-for-service entry may be only a dispatch computer record, not a written report.
Check Lemoore Custody Records
Current county jail information comes from the Kings County Sheriff's Inmate Locator. It offers a current-person search plus all-inmate, 24-hour booking, and 72-hour booking views. The county says information updates hourly. That makes it a current custody tool, not a complete arrest history or a substitute for a court record.
View the Kings County Inmate Locator for the current county roster.
Use an inmate detail as a starting point, then verify related case information with Kings Superior Court.
State prison records are separate in California's CIRIS incarcerated-person search, while federal custody uses the Bureau of Prisons locator. The California Megan's Law website is a distinct statutory registry under Penal Code section 290.46.
Registry information carries strict legal-use warnings and must never be used to threaten or harass anyone.
Find Lemoore Business Connections
A business trail can identify an owner, agent, debtor, licensee, or professional contact. California Secretary of State bizfile searches corporations, limited liability companies, and limited partnerships. Public results may show the entity number, status, jurisdiction, agent, public filing addresses, and filing history. The related UCC search covers financing statements and lien notices.
Kings County's Tyler index adds fictitious business names, notaries, and professional registrations. A county FBN filing costs $30 for one registrant, plus $8 for each added business name or partner under the 2026 schedule. California Department of Consumer Affairs License Search covers many regulated occupations, while attorneys, teachers, contractors, medical professionals, nurses, real-estate licensees, and alcohol licenses may require their own board search.
Unclaimed property creates another official name trail. The California State Controller search checks reports submitted in a person or business name.
The official search and claim process are free, which helps a reader avoid paid solicitation scams.
Reconnect Through Lemoore Archives
Historical Lemoore research crosses a county boundary in time. Kings County formed from part of Tulare County in 1893, while Lemoore incorporated in 1900. A family present before the county split may appear in Tulare County deeds, taxes, newspapers, church records, or census schedules, then in Kings County records after formation. That is a local records story, not a generic genealogy warning.
Kings County Library points researchers toward a regional network. The Hanford Family History Center offers access to Family History Library microfilm and microfiche, though limited staff cannot answer mail inquiries. Fresno's San Joaquin Valley Heritage & Genealogy Center holds about 30,000 books and pamphlets, 5,000 microforms, and 300 CD-ROMs. Tulare Public Library holds city directories, newspapers, microfilm, microfiche, and other genealogy sources. Exact Lemoore directory years were not verified, so ask a reference desk to confirm a run before traveling.
The California State Archives adds probate files, wills, naturalizations, deeds, homesteads, Great Registers, vital registers, and court records where preserved. Official archive snippets identify Kings County naturalization records from 1854 to 1950 and deeds from 1886 to 1901, but the pre-1893 portions need record-by-record county context. Probate, obituaries, cemetery records, deeds, and older directories work best together for heir searches or family reconnection.
Respect Lemoore Voter Record Limits
California My Voter Status is a personal verification tool, not a public directory. A voter can check registration status, registered name and address, party and language preferences, voting locations, upcoming elections, and ballot status information. The complete voter file follows a separate, restricted application process with approved purposes, identification, an original signature, a fee, and data-security duties.
Kings County Elections serves Lemoore voters from the Government Center in Hanford. California voter information is explicitly not ordinary public data. Driver-license and Social Security number data, signatures, full dates of birth, contact fields, and protected-voter information are withheld. The full rules and application path are set out in the Lemoore voter registration lookup.
Keep Lemoore People Searches Safe
Official records have boundaries. Safe at Home provides eligible Californians with a substitute mailing address and confidential mail forwarding. Courts seal or restrict some cases. Vital records separate informational from authorized copies. Juvenile, adoption, child-abuse, victim, voter, and identification data may be unavailable even when a related index exists.
California also gives residents a broad data-broker deletion route. The California Privacy Protection Agency says residents may use DROP to submit one request to active registered brokers as of January 1, 2026. Brokers must begin processing those deletion requests on August 1, 2026 and check the mechanism at least once every 45 days, subject to limited exceptions. Official records kept by a lawful custodian are different from broker copies and may require a record-specific correction or confidentiality process.
Use public information only for lawful personal research, civic transparency, family history, scam checks, and safe reconnection. California Penal Code section 646.9 addresses stalking through repeated harassment and credible threats. Never use a Lemoore people search to stalk, intimidate, expose, or harm another person.
